IP Rights in South-East Asia

South-East Asia refers to the southeastern sub-region of Asia. It is bordered by East Asia to the north, Australia and the Indian Ocean to the south, Oceania and the Pacific Ocean to the east, and South Asia and the Bay of Bengal to the west. There are eleven (11) countries in this region, including Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

South-East Asia is a fast-growing region in the global economy and attractive to many innovative SMEs around the world. Having a strong Intellectual Property (IP) strategy is vital for businesses when they consider expanding into new markets of this region.
