- Regional patent-related organizations, such as The Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) and The European Patent Office (EPO)
- Regional trademark- and design-related organizations, such as The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)
- Regional intergovernmental political and economic unions, such as The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, originally known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
