IP Rights in IP Organizations

Intellectual Property (IP) Organizations include associations and organizations of people around the IP law concepts, particularly copyright, trademark, and patent. Some of these organizations include:

  • International intergovernmental organizations, such as The African Regional Industrial Property Organization (ARIPO) and The Organisation Africaine de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OAPI)
  • Regional patent-related organizations, such as The Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) and The European Patent Office (EPO)
  • Regional trademark- and design-related organizations, such as The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)
  • Regional intergovernmental political and economic unions, such as The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, originally known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
